Measure effects and promote yourself more effectively – the new "Traffic and Advertising" tab in Photonesto

Get to know the new "Traffic and Advertising" tab in Photonesto! Learn how to easily connect your galleries with Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel to better understand client behavior and effectively promote your photography services.

Photonesto is a modern platform for professional and aesthetic delivery of online photo galleries, and in this article, we will introduce you to the new "Traffic and Advertising" tab, which will allow you to easily connect your galleries with the most powerful analytical and marketing tools in the world.

Why Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel?

We decided to integrate with these two tools because they constitute the foundation of modern marketing. This choice is dictated by their complementarity:

  • Google Analytics is the "king of analytics". It gives you insight into what is happening inside your galleries. It allows you to understand user behavior, check session time, and find out which traffic sources (e.g., search engine, direct entries) are the most effective.

  • Facebook (Meta) Pixel is, in turn, the "king of advertising". It is essential if you promote yourself on Instagram or Facebook. It allows the Meta platform to understand who visits your galleries, so your paid ads reach people genuinely interested in your style, rather than random users.

Together they create a duo that allows you not only to measure the past but also to effectively plan future sales.

Why is it worth using analytics in galleries?

Running a photography business is not just about taking beautiful photos, but also understanding how clients use your offer. Thanks to integration with Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel), you gain knowledge that is not visible to the naked eye:

  • Where do clients come from? You will check whether they reached the gallery from your social media or perhaps directly from an email.

  • What interests them? You will find out how much time they spend in the galleries and which ones are the most popular.

  • Effective marketing: thanks to the Pixel, you can create remarketing campaigns – e.g., display an ad to a person who viewed the gallery but did not buy additional prints.

  • Cost optimization: you will stop spending money on ads that do not bring entries to the gallery.

How to go to the new tab?

Access to the new features is very simple and intuitive. To configure your codes, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the main menu (profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen).

  2. Select the Photographer account section.

  3. Click on the new Traffic and Advertising tab.

In this place, you will find dedicated fields to enter your identifiers.

What are these codes and where to look for them?

1. Google Analytics (measurement ID)

This is a code that allows Google to collect statistics about the traffic in your galleries.

  • Where to find it? Log in to your Google Analytics panel. Go to the Admin section -> Data Streams -> Select your stream. Your code has the format G-XXXXXXXXX. Copy it and paste it into the appropriate field in Photonesto.

If you don't know what Google Analytics is or don't know how to configure it, we refer you to the guide from Google - Getting started with Google Analytics.

2. Facebook Pixel / Meta Pixel (Pixel ID)

This is a piece of code that connects your galleries with the Facebook and Instagram advertising system.

  • Where to find it? Log in to Facebook Business Manager, go to Events Manager and select Data Sources. There you will find your Pixel ID (a string of numbers). Paste it into the Photonesto panel in the Facebook Pixel section.

For more information about the Pixel code, we refer you to the Meta guide - Pixel setup and installation

Where to enter the codes in Photonesto?

Once you have your identifiers ready, simply paste them into the appropriate fields in the Traffic and Advertising tab. After pasting the codes, don't forget to click the "Save" button. From that moment on, the system will automatically start sending data to your analytical panels – without the need for any additional configuration in individual galleries!

Summary

The introduction of the "Traffic and Advertising" tab is a step towards even greater professionalization of your craft. Data is the key to understanding client needs and better planning advertising expenses. Instead of guessing, start measuring the real effects of your actions.

Don't wait, configure your codes today and squeeze even more out of Photonesto for your business!
