Thanks to Photonesto, photographers can effortlessly create professional online galleries, making it easier for clients to access and manage their photos. And now, thanks to integration with nPhoto, ordering prints is even faster and simpler!
Integration with another photo lab is an important step that will allow you to shorten order fulfillment times and manage the customer service process even more effectively.
We have prepared a detailed guide for you that will walk you through the configuration process of this new functionality step-by-step. We will show you how to enable nPhoto integration in Photonesto and what the product ordering process looks like. This ensures your photos reach the client in the highest quality and without unnecessary delays.
It is also worth noting that the integration with nPhoto is a direct integration, meaning you pay for the print order directly within our system in Photonesto, and moments later, it is sent to the lab for fulfillment. Therefore, you do not need to have an account with nPhoto or log in there specifically to complete an order.
How to enable nPhoto integration?
We begin enabling the nPhoto integration by creating a price list containing products from the nPhoto offer, specifying that these products will be fulfilled by nPhoto. To do this, go to the main menu (upper right corner of the screen), then the "Sales configuration" tab, and then "Products pricing".
In the next step, we click the “Create pricing” button. When creating a price list, there are two options to choose from:
creating a price list from scratch,
or using the available offer from photo labs (in this case - nPhoto) and creating a price list containing all products.
In this article, we will analyze the second option. In the window that appears on the screen, enter the appropriate name for the price list, select the currency of your choice, and accept the initially proposed margin. We will be able to change it at any time.
Currently, the offer of available nPhoto products in Photonesto includes 68 different print configurations. For the purpose of this material, we will modify the product price list by selecting the 2 most frequently ordered products.
After clicking the "Edit" button, we proceed to make changes to the price list by adding or removing the necessary items by checking/unchecking the boxes next to the print dimensions/paper types. Once we have applied all the necessary changes, we click the "Apply" button and then enter the appropriate prices for the items we are interested in. After these changes, we save the price list using the "Save" button.
We can set the price list created this way as the default, so it can be used immediately when creating a session or gallery. To do this, we must return to the "Products pricing" section, and then click the three-dot button and "Set as default" next to the price list of our choice.
At this point, we have a price list with enabled nPhoto products. We can move on to creating sessions and galleries.
How does the product ordering process look like?
For the purpose of this article, we have created a sample group session containing one client order, which we will use to show you how to fulfill it.
The client's order is quite simple – it includes 2 types of prints and several photos. To fulfill this order, we click “Fulfill order”, and then “Create print request”. A window opens where we can select the lab for each type of print – here we choose nPhoto.
By default, the selected fulfillment method for the prints was the nPhoto lab, because the price list assigned to the gallery was the one created based on the lab's offer.
In the new "Print fulfillment" tab, details regarding this specific lab order will appear. Once the photos are uploaded, you should check any settings - cropping, borders; you can also replace the photos with full-size, edited versions using the "Replace photos" button. After configuring all options, you can proceed to payment.
On the next screen, we make the payment for the ordered products. In this specific case, we have one relatively small order, but of course, it is possible to pay for multiple orders at once to receive all products in a single shipment, which is a standard practice to save both time and funds.
We fill in the delivery information, click “Go to checkout”, and pay for the order.
After making the payment, the status of our order in the order history should change to “paid”. After a short time, the status should be updated to “sent to print”, which means that our order is now ready for fulfillment at nPhoto.
Information about product prices at a specific lab can be found on the “Print fulfillment” screen in the “Photo lab integrations” tab, where other information regarding all currently available photo lab integrations is also visible.
Integration with another photo lab in our application is not only a step towards automation and professionalization of your work, but also a way to ensure the highest quality of service for your clients.
